Redeemer Ladies Aid

Ladies Aid was organized in 1915 with meetings held at various homes. Their purpose is to encourage women to act boldly in faith, offering monthly Bible studies, socializing, and support to each other. All ladies of the congregation are welcome.

Examples of the Redeemer Ladies Aid's Local, Domestic and Global Missions:

The Ladies Aid supports the local outreach programs of Amery Area Food Pantry, Salvation Army backpack program, Community Referral Agency, Interfaith Caregivers and the Northwoods Homeless Shelter.  Towels, diapers, non-perishable foods and personal care items are collected throughout the year to be distributed to families in need.

Through fundraisers including semi-annual rummage sales, fall dinners, serving lunches and Sunday fellowship hour, and the sale of greeting cards, the Ladies Aid can offer considerable support and life-enriching ministry to the congregation and local area.

Lutheran Counseling and Family Services, Northwest Wisconsin District LWML, Bethesda Lutheran Home and American Cancer Society are global concerns of the Ladies Aid and the congregation.

The Comforts of Care program began by volunteers recognizing the need for comfort blankets to patients receiving chemo treatments at the Amery Hospital and Clinic.  This program is ongoing and over 90 blankets and 87 chemohats have been distributed.

Prayer shawls, lovingly knit and crocheted by volunteers, are delivered to members, as well as friends and relatives who are in need of Redeemer's love, prayers and comfort as they experience difficult health or personal issues.

The Ladies Aid always welcomes new members to this active mission work and is most thankful for the generous Congregational and pastoral support it receives.
